Scrapbooks kept by the critic and designer Aymer Vallance, containing illustrations, text and decorative motifs cut out of the pages of ephemeral, serial and other publications, as well as some original drawings based on these decorative themes. Pages in the volume are largely organized around certain motifs or topics. There are several pages of only peacocks or peacock-inspired elements, for example. The physical condition of these volumes is very delicate -- the page mounts are very brittle and the original bindings have been completely removed.
